The Roof of Africa
Rising majestically above the African plains, Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. At 5,895 meters (19,341 ft), its snow-capped peak is a beacon for adventurers and dreamers alike.
Climbing Kilimanjaro is a journey through distinct climatic zones, from lush rainforests to alpine deserts, ending in the arctic zone at the summit. It is a physical and mental challenge that rewards you with the view of a lifetime.
Kilimanjaro is located in northeastern Tanzania, near the Kenyan border. It stands in its own national park, accessible from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
Your trek begins in dense, humid rainforests teeming with Colobus monkeys and birdlife, transitioning into heath and moorland where giant senecios grow.
Starting at midnight under a canopy of stars, the final ascent to Uhuru Peak is a test of endurance. Watching the sunrise from the Roof of Africa is an emotional victory.
The journey is shared with a team of expert guides and porters whose spirit and songs ("Jambo Bwana") become the soundtrack of your climb.
